## Experience

### Software Engineer, part time, Maxapp GmbH

- Contribute to development, infrastructure and operations on DineEasy, a restaurant ordering and payments platform, and ewig, a wedding-planning platform, built on Next.js, Supabase Postgres, Stripe and Redis.
- Shipped PayMatch, a Swiss QR-invoicing platform that reconciles CAMT bank exports against open invoices, with 40+ specs and CI that replays every migration against PostgreSQL and checks tenant isolation before merge.
- Shipped LiveDesk, remote support that starts as a chat and takes over the screen in one click, as a Turborepo monorepo spanning a Next.js console, WebRTC signalling on Cloudflare Durable Objects, and a five-crate Rust and Tauri Windows agent.
- Hardened the LiveDesk Windows agent with Control Flow Guard on every MSVC build, a strict CSP and scoped Tauri capabilities, and fixed a CI race that let deploys outrun their checks by gating releases on workflow runs.

- Engineered Tracking+, a .NET and C# aviation maintenance platform used by 100+ operators in 40+ countries.

- Built Grafana and New Relic APM dashboards, and used APM traces and k6 load tests to find slow, blocking SQL queries.

## Writing

- [The last four points](https://beny.one/the-last-four-points) (August 8, 2026): A perfect Lighthouse score taught me very little about making the page fast, and a great deal about how fast is measured.
- [Three stacks](https://beny.one/three-stacks) (July 25, 2026): What I actually use, and why the honest answer is three different answers. Each one is downstream of a single constraint I refused to give up.
- [Everything in the binary](https://beny.one/everything-in-the-binary) (July 18, 2026): One rule, no network calls, and the code it forced. A transformer reimplemented in Go, quantized to fit, and proved correct against the original.
- [Everything except the bytes](https://beny.one/everything-except-the-bytes) (June 12, 2026): Uploading forty gigabytes is not a bandwidth problem. It is a coordination problem, and the coordination is where all the bugs live.
- [Where the key lives](https://beny.one/where-the-key-lives) (May 9, 2026): Encrypting a secret is the easy part. The harder question is what happens to the decrypted key afterwards, and how long you let it exist.
