# Buildhound

> Your own computer runs your CI, and your agent set it up.

Buildhound turns the computers a team already owns, from a development laptop to a spare Mac mini or a Linux server, into clean, single-use GitHub Actions runners. A coding agent sets it up through a CLI and an MCP server. When a machine goes offline, new jobs route back to GitHub-hosted runners automatically. It is priced flat per machine, never per minute.

## What I built

- A CI cost audit that prices a repo's GitHub Actions spend from 30 days of runs and flags the waste
- A GitHub App control plane that hands out single-use runners and fails over to GitHub-hosted ones
- Fresh Linux VMs on Apple silicon, one per job, booting to a ready runner in about two seconds
- An agent-first CLI and MCP server, so a coding agent can set up and run the machines
