Joining Veryon as a Software Engineer Intern
My journey at Veryon working on performance optimization and multitenancy implementation for Tracking+, using .NET, C#, SQL Server, and various profiling tools.
I'm excited to share that I joined Veryon as a Software Engineer Intern on October 6, 2025! Veryon is a leading aviation software company that develops intelligent solutions enabling the aviation industry to achieve more aircraft uptime through better technology platforms for maintenance, operations, manuals, and diagnostics.
About Veryon
Veryon serves thousands of customers worldwide, including 25% of the worldwide commercial fleet and over 100 OEMs. Their mission is simple yet powerful: Let's get you more uptime®. They achieve this through innovative software solutions that eliminate waiting, wondering, and wasted effort in aviation management.
My Role: Working on Tracking+
I'm working on Veryon Tracking+, a comprehensive fleet management platform that handles:
- Fleet Management
- MRO Management
- Inventory Management
- Flight Operations
- Business Support
My primary focus is on two critical areas:
1. Performance Optimization
Aviation software needs to be fast and reliable—every second counts when managing fleets and maintenance operations. I'm diving deep into the performance characteristics of Tracking+ using:
- Visual Studio Profilers - Identifying performance bottlenecks in the application
- SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) - Analyzing database operations
- SQL Query Plans - Optimizing database queries for faster execution
- Grafana - Monitoring application metrics and performance trends
Through systematic profiling and analysis, I'm identifying areas where we can reduce latency, optimize resource usage, and improve the overall user experience for operators managing their aircraft fleets.
2. Enabling Multitenancy
One of the most exciting challenges I'm tackling is implementing multitenancy architecture. This involves:
- Designing data isolation strategies to ensure customer data remains separate and secure
- Optimizing shared resources while maintaining performance across tenants
- Implementing tenant-aware routing and authentication mechanisms
- Ensuring scalability as the platform grows
Multitenancy is crucial for SaaS platforms like Tracking+, allowing Veryon to efficiently serve multiple customers from a single application instance while maintaining security, performance, and customization capabilities.
The Tech Stack
Working with a robust enterprise tech stack:
- .NET & C# - Building scalable, high-performance backend services
- SQL Server - Managing complex aviation data with reliability
- Grafana - Real-time monitoring and observability
- Visual Studio - Comprehensive development and debugging environment
Learning and Growing
This internship is an incredible opportunity to work on mission-critical software that directly impacts the aviation industry. Every optimization I make helps operators get their aircraft back in the air faster. Every architectural decision contributes to a more scalable and secure platform.
I'm learning not just about coding, but about:
- Enterprise-scale application architecture
- Performance engineering at scale
- Database optimization strategies
- Multi-tenant SaaS design patterns
- Working with real-world production systems
What's Next
I'm excited to continue optimizing Tracking+ and implementing the multitenancy features that will help Veryon serve even more customers efficiently. The challenges are significant, but so is the impact—helping the aviation industry achieve more uptime means safer, more efficient air travel for everyone.
Stay tuned for more updates on my journey at Veryon!
